Installation
- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/stock-message-for-woocommercedirectory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
- Go to Settings Stock Message Settings to configure your notification button, email template, and optional reCAPTCHA keys.
- That’s it – the waitlist form will automatically appear on any out-of-stock product.

Does this work with variable products?

Yes. The plugin fully supports simple, variable and grouped products. For variable products, the notification is tied to the specific variation that is out of stock, so customers are only notified when that exact variant (e.g. size, colour) comes back.

How do customers sign up for back-in-stock notifications?

When a product is out of stock, a customisable “Notify Me” button appears on the product page. Customers enter their email address and, if you have email verification enabled, they receive a confirmation link before being added to the waitlist.

When are the notification emails sent?

Emails are sent automatically as soon as a product’s stock status changes from “out of stock” to “in stock”. The plugin monitors both manual stock updates in the WordPress admin and programmatic stock changes made by WooCommerce or other plugins.
